"The Avengers" has not yet added another girl on the line-up. Debunking swirling report that Demi Lovato was going to join the cast ensemble of the superhero flick, her representatives as well as sources from Marvel's camp say there was no truth to the rumor.

The denial came days after Radar Online reported that Lovato was up for a role in "The Avengers" while she is still staying in rehab. The Disney star was given a Christmas break and stepped out of the medical facility on December 25 for family outing, but returned to the place later the same day.

Though not hiring Lovato, the studio is currently looking for another actress to join the cast ensemble, sources say. So far, Scarlett Johansson is the only notable female in the official line-up which includes Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo and Clark Gregg.

"The Avengers" is reportedly scheduled to start production in April 2011 in New Mexico. Joss Whedon is set to serve behind the lens, while the movie is slated for May 4, 2012 U.S. release.

"Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" will not include Nathan Drake's extended family. While the movie's helmer David O. Russell was believed saying it will feature "the family dynamic", "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception" game director Justin Richmond says the information did not come from Russell.

"This idea really turns me on that there's a family that's a force to be reckoned with in the world of international art and antiquities... [a family] that deals with heads of state and heads of museums and metes out justice," Russell reportedly said which was quoted by Los Angeles Times at that time. "We'll have the family dynamic, which we've done in a couple of movies now... And then you take that and put it on the bigger, more muscular stage of an international action picture, but also put all the character stuff in it. That's a really cool idea to me."

However, Richmond just tells Joystiq that Russell did not admit he ever said things like that, insisting "First of all, all that stuff was denied by David O. Russell... He actually called us up and was like, 'I don't know what these guys are talking about.' " He additionally claims Mark Wahlberg, who spilled the bean that he is set to portray the title character, is not confirmed for the part either.

Wahlberg, in a November interview with MTV, also revealed that Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci could star in the movie. The former was said to be Drake's father, while the latter might be his uncle. "It's not going to be the watered-down version, that's for sure," the "The Other Guys" star gushed, adding that production might kick off next summer.

"Uncharted: Drake's Fortune", which is based on a videogame series for PS3, follows a descendant of explorer Sir Francis Drake, a treasure hunter named Nathan Drake as he searched for the lost treasure of El Dorado. The story is sort of Indiana Jones adventure but is set in the present.

While the site says it does not subsequently rule out Kree or the Skrull's appearance in "The Avengers", "there is no hard evidence to date to suggest their inclusion."

Kurt Sutter is in charge of the scriptwriting while Eminem who starred in "8 Mile" is booked to play a fast-rising welterweight boxer and to co-produce the movie under Shady Films.

"I know he's very selective and doesn't do a lot. But he shared so much of his personal struggle in this raw and very honest album, one that I connected with on a lot of levels."

"He is very interested in the boxing genre, and it seemed like an apt metaphor, because his own life has been a brawl. In a way, this is a continuation of the 8 Mile story, but rather than a literal biography, we are doing a metaphorical narrative of the second chapter of his life. He'll play a world champion boxer who really hits a hard bottom, and has to fight to win back his life for his young daughter. At its core, this is a retelling of his struggles over the last five years of his life, using the boxing analogy."

"I love that the title refers to Marshall being a lefty, which is to boxing what a white rapper is to hip hop; dangerous, unwanted and completely unorthodox. It's a much harder road for a southpaw than a right handed boxer."

The first draft of the script will be turned in in February before Sutter is due to concentrate on the fourth season of "Sons of Anarchy". DreamWorks co-chairman/CEO Stacey Snider was able to pitch the story to the studio for she was involved in "8 Mile" while a Universal Pictures chief. Fox 2000 Pictures has paid Taylor Lautner to get himself imprisoned. Deadline Hollywood reports the 18-year-old actor has signed up to star in "Incarceron", which is based on Catherine Fisher's young adult novel of the same title.

Lautner will portray Finn, who has lived his entire life on Incarceron, a savage, futuristic prison society. He meets Claudia, the daughter of the warden, who is trapped in her own prison, a futuristic world constructed beautifully to look like the 17th Century. She knows nothing of Incarceron except that it exists. She and Finn find a crystal key at the same time and it allows them to communicate and try to create an escape plan for Finn.

According to Deadline, beside taking a lead role, the "Twilight" hunk is also likely to produce the movie along with John Palermo. Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, who work on upcoming Universal Pictures comedy "Tower Heist", are writing the script for "Incarceron", but no director is attached to the film yet.

Taylor Lautner is currently in production for "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part I" and "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II" which are shot back to back. He is additionally on board to star in "Abduction" and "Stretch Armstrong".

'The Social Network' Gets Best Picture Prizes

Writers Guild of America has announced 2011 WGA Awards Nominees in TV

2011 WGA Awards Nominees in TV Announced

Writers Guild of America has announced the writers who receive nominations at next year's awards for their work in television. The most nod that one show gets is three, and that number is claimed by "Modern Family", "30 Rock" and "Breaking Bad".

"Modern Family" and "30 Rock", which have won Emmys, will be up against each other in comedy series and have each received two nods for episodic category. Meanwhile, "Breaking Bad" takes a nod in drama field and two additional episodic nominations.

AMC's "The Walking Dead" is vying for new series prize, battling "Boardwalk Empire", "Justified", "Treme" and "Men of a Certain Age" along the way. "Empire" in particular is also nominated for drama series against older and more prominent shows like "Mad Men" and "Dexter".

The WGA Awards will hand out the prizes in a ceremony held February 5 in Los Angeles and New York. Partial list of nominations can be found after the jump while the complete list is available at WGA.org.

Starz Unleashed The Photos of 'Spartacus: Gods of the Arena'

'Spartacus: Gods of the Arena' Cast Photos Released

While there's zero update on "Spartacus: Blood and Sand", Starz unleashed the photos of "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" cast in their individual characters. The pics show some "Blood and Sand" characters way before Quintus Batiatus took over the Ludus and reveal the new characters such as Capua's sexy social climber Gaia.

John Hannah, Lucy Lawless, Peter Mensah, Manu Bennett, Nick Tarabay and Antonio Te Maioha return as Quintus, Lucretia, Doctore, Crixus, Ashur and Barca respectively. They are joined by new faces like Jamie Murray as Gaia, Marisa Ramirez as Melitta and Jeffrey Thomas as Titus.

But the central character would be Dustin Clare's Gannicus aka the original Championship of the House of Batiatus. He lives in a more ruthless time before Spartacus' arrival where honor was just finding it's way into the arena. As the prequel begins, Quintus Batiatus is the acting Lanista while his father Titus is on an extended visit to Sicilia. Batiatus must not only survive the harsh politics of Capua, but also compel his hedonistic fighter, Gannicus, to embrace being a champion gladiator who will bring esteem and respect to the House of Batiatus.

"Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" will begin January 21 on Starz. Producer Steven S. DeKnight said in this clip below that even if people have not seen "Blood and Sand", they would be able to follow the prequel.
